About Me (In My Own Words)
I am now 33 years old. Just last November I had aortic valve replacement. Last month I was getting fevers with no other symptoms. I didn't think anything of it. They wouldn't stop and my doctor told me to come in. They admitted me and did a lot of tests. After a ct scan they realized I had a build up of fluid next to my new valve but the infection didn't enter my blood stream which is a good thing! They are worried that the infection might still be on my valve and so we need to replace the valve again less than a year after my first valve replacement. I am on constant antibiotics through IV. My 2nd surgery is scheduled for October 29th. My first story is below and I now have a handsome son that was born on January 30th!! Thanks for reading.....again!
I am 32 years old. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. I had coarctation of the aorta when I was 2. I am scheduled for Aortic Valve Replacement on November 9th. I was just recently married and my wife and I are having a baby boy in January. I coach baseball at the University of California at Berkeley.
