I had been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse a few years ago. My cardiologist has been watching it since then requiring me to have a yearly echocardiogram. This year he scheduled a second one in October. This one showed more severe regurgetation and the cardiologist ordered a TEE. The results from the TEE indicated that surgery was needed. I am scheduled for mitral valve repair on Dec. 1st at Cleveland Clinic
