About Me

I was diagnosed a year ago with moderate aortic stenosis and told it would be years before having it progress to the point of surgery. 6 months later it had progressed to severe and after a cardiac cath was also diagnosed with an aortic root anuresum . I had my surgery on December 15 and had my valve replaced with a mechanical valve and my anuresum repaired. I was released from the hospital on December 22. They have had a time trying to get my warfarin levels steady but it's a work in progress. I went today for a stress test and will start cardiac rehab. This has all been so scary. Every time I feel the least little pain I worry it's my heart. I have always been pretty healthy so this is all new to me and and words of encouragement is appreciated.
