About Me

I recently discovered that I have an aortic aneurysm in the ascending aorta at the root. This came as a HUGE shock to me and my family. I am scheduled for an aortic root replacement that may also include a valve replacement. I've had more tests, imaging and other procedures than I could have imagined 6 months ago and now scheduled for surgery on the 18th. I'm still nervous but ready to get the surgery over with and start the healing and recovery.
