Send Martha a NoteAbout Me
At 25, I was diagnosed with a Mitral Valve Prolapse. My father passed away when I was 50. At my physical that year, I mentioned this to my physician which prompted him to take a closer listen...long story short, the resulting echo showed Bicuspid Aortic disease and mild to moderate stenosis. My next echo showed a progression to severe stenosis as well as an Aortic Dilation, which is a nice way of saying Aortic Aneurysm.
We have consulted with three hospitals in our general area and all three have recommended surgery.
I am currently 55.
