About Me (In My Own Words)
I have been blessed that my mitral valve prolapse has been asymptomatic for 70 plus years until mid Oct 2018 when rapid heart beats happened. I birthed and nursed four children. The first three were 24 hr. hospital births and the 4th a home birth. Now my husband and I are grandparents to four, 13, 11, 10 and 3 1/2; but, all live many hours from us. I am a avid reader of historical fiction and non-fiction about nutrition, a former elem. teacher in Michigan, England and Germany, enjoy cooking from scratch, gardening & genealogy. I was born and raised in Ohio and after returning from Europe we lived in NE OH for 36 years before downsizing to Western NC 4 years ago.
In preparing myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually for the surgery, I have read Adam's book, (as did my husband) watched videos, read comments, and I am feeling the support of prayer of many friends & relatives across the States and overseas. For now I will keep enjoying everyday activities as I am without pain or discomfort.
