About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed about 15 years ago and told that I would need a new valve in "5-10" years. Five years ago, it was ""soon-ish". Now they say I am "watchfully waiting" and until a) I feel like there's an elephant on my chest in bed b) leg edema or c) can't walk and breathe. I also have an aortic aneurysm. I have previously had ablation (10+ years) for several arrhythmias and until about 18 months ago I had no real recurrence of symptoms. I have no pain, no swelling but a almost constant feelings of PVC's and a "fluttering" sensation. The holter monitors show 4.5% PVC's but doesn't account for the flutering I feel. The electrophysiast says that maybe I am feeling the actual regurgitation. Does this happen to anyone else pre-surgery?? I am finding posts about POST surgery, but I can't think or do much because of this sensation. It also wakes me up and I can't go back to sleep. The have upped my meds but not helping. Anyone else have the same sensations?
