Went for a checkup with a new Primary Care Physician and he detected a pronounced heart murmur. He referred me to a cardiologist who confirmed the murmur and diagnosed as Severe Aortic Regurgitation. I went for a second opinion at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix Arizona. The Mayo cardiologist concurred with the initial diagnosis. Two weeks ago when through catherization procedure to get a better view and they also found bi-cuspid valve that was leaking considerably. This has lead me to a meeting with a Surgeon at Mayo last week to discuss the case and complete pre-op tests. We are targeting June 21 for surgery date. This has been a fast moving process and absolutely life changing.
