The past year, since November 2022, has been a wild ride. After a deer ran into our car and caused my concussion which led to a MRI showing an Acoustic Neuroma, I was in and out of the neurologist and my cardiologist (I have had high blood pressure and heart murmur for years) for many months. A few months ago my feet and ankles swelled up and after the second time I was sent for additional testing. My cardiologist scheduled me for an echocardiogram and TEE which showed the Mitral Valve Regurgitation/Prolapse. Without hesitation, he recommended surgery to repair the Mitral Valves as did a second opinion cardiologist. Oh and while this is all happening, the mitral valves and the blood flow issues have been messing with my kidneys and creatinine levels. So as of today, 11/12/2023, I nervously wait to have the procedure performed on 11/30/2023. I have already done all the pre-testing including the cardiac catherization, CT Scans, and multiple blood works drawn. Just want to get to the surgery already.
