Bicuspid aortic valve monitored since birth. Now at 50 years old I’ve moved into severe aortic stenosis and doctors say it’s time to get my valve and a descending aortic aneurysm fixed. I’m asymptomatic and look forward to a full recovery so I can get back to surfing! This website helped me choose my surgery team at USC led by Dr. Vaughn Starnes (Ross procedure) and and Dr. Fleischman (descending aorta repair).
