About Me

My cardiologist has been monitoring my aortic valve for a number of years. Based on the most recent echocardiogram and my becoming symptomatic, he recommended valve replacement surgery. I had a heart catheterization procedure yesterday, 05/12/16, which confirmed the poor condition of the valve. The good news was that there were no blockages. I just got a call today from the cardiologist's office advising that I'm scheduled for a TEE on 05/24/16. After that, I meet with the surgeon. I was a little apprehensive about the catheterization but the whole experience went pretty smoothly and with minimal discomfort.
