About Me

Fainted at my desk at work. Taken to ER. High moderate just below severe stenosis of my bicuspid aortic valve discovered. My trainer, my wife and practically everyone I know was shocked (me too) because I'm the healthiest person they know. Having mini-thoracotomy March 29th. My aortic enlargement of 4.2 was classified as a dilation and so we're leaving it alone and will watch it. I'm really excited that what I thought were symptoms of aging is a fixable valve replacement. Very confident in Dr. Malaisrie and his team at Northwestern and I'm preparing for surgery. Exploring ERAS program.
