I was diagnosed at 21 after a murmur was heard. I do not have a family history of heart issues and did not have rheumatic fever as a child. Seven years ago and with my 3rd cardiologist, I found out I have a quad cuspid valve, enlarged heart and an EF of 40. I am having my angiogram on 3/21. No surgery date has been set yet. I have had this condition hanging over my head for 25 years and relieved and afraid to have the surgery.
