Christine's Profile

This will be my second open heart surgery. I had my mitral valve repaired in 11/2009 by Dr. Gillinov at the Cleveland Clinic. Since my valve is severely leaking now, I will have to have it replaced this second time around. I do have Barlow's valve syndrome. I am feeling more anxious this second time around and, of course, the waiting is adding to it. Very thankful to have such excellent health care and a top surgeon and hospital to get my valve replaced.
