I was diagnosed with mitral valve stenosis in December 2016. I received another echocardiogram earlier this year that indicated my stenosis is now severe. This was confirmed with a transesophogal echo. I will be having a mechanical mitral valve replacement at the end of November along with the Maze procedure to treat my afib.
