I always knew I had a heart murmur. About a year ago, one of my doctors listened to it and said he didn't remember it being that noisy! He said i should see a cardialogist right away. I saw one the next week and, after an echocardiagram, it was determined that i had moderate to severe aortic stenosis and moderate to severe aortic sclerosis. He said he will watch it for a year to see how it progresses. I just had my echo for this year and he said that my stenosis is now severe with only 1cm opening! Surgery is scheduled for June 4th to replace the bicuspid valve with a pig valve. Heart catheter, ct scan, and echo of corrotid artery is scheduled for may 22nd and 23rd.
