Hello all!! Finally on my way back to ME! Walked 4.5 miles at Brookfield Zoo today with my sweet 5 year old adopted grandson. Walked the whole way though electric chairs were available.
Very slow walking, hot out. Inclines and stairs still leave me gasping for air and dizzy. Also getting up from sitting or lying down. More tests upcoming to see if any new heart conditions in play. So thankful for my surgeon!!
Got a fancy metallic purple cane that actually helps! Lots of stopping, resting, going again. Slow and steady. Definitely the tortoise.
Still a long way from my dream of hiking the mountains, streams and forests, but starting slow.
shout out to Dr. Kevin Hodges at Blum Cardiovascular Institute in CHICAGO!! Best city in the world.
love & best wishes to all!! β€οΈπβ€οΈ

Kimberly Eisenhut Peggy, I am so glad to see ou smiling and getting to do things you enjoy! I am in process of trying to have valve team at Northwestern with Dr Davidson and Dr Malaisrie figure out a fix for my severely leaky tricuspid valve. I have an allergy to nickel and need to get patch testing for it first before we do anything, The waiting, phone calls, MyChart messaging and just trying to get things moving forward is making me so stressed. I wish these companies could think about those of us who have allergies and would use better things than nickel alloy for these devices. I am encouraged by your story though and wish you all the best and hope to see you post more lovely picts of you making memories with your family

Robert Miller That's fantastic!!! There is nothing more precious than doing these kind of activities with your children and grandchildren. Good job not using those electric chairs. That picture looks like some volleyball/basketball/etc game.
Daisy Tanner That's great Peggy! Hope your test have a positive outcome. Hugs
