The incision shield was mentioned in Adam's book, so I purchased one and it has been a lifesaver. The purpose of the shield is to keep shirts, blouses, etc. off of your incision to prevent irritation. It also allows for air movement to help the incision to heal. The shield... Read more.

How cool - I read the book but must have missed this part (I was a little preoccupied). I think it would have been an overkill for my mini sternotomy though.
