My surgeon was kind enough to take pics of my surgery. They had just restarted my heart when this was taken. Dacron aorta graft is what you see.

Also seen is the innominate artery graft

Is the inominate always grafted? I have a Bentall. Awesome to see

Yes it is. I had aneurysms in both the aorta and innominate arteries. I have a short video of my heart beating before they closed me up. Very cool.

That's awesome 💝 I have one of those 😊

Roseline, I misread your question. I do not believe the innominate is always grafted. Just when you're lucky enough to have an aneurysm on it, like me. :-) The innominate replacement is why I was sent to Houston instead of having the procedure here in Arkansas.

Amazing picture! I had my ascending aorta artery replaced but don't have a picture to show it. BTW, may I ask what was the size of your innominate artery aneurysm? My is 1.5 CM and was told not to worry about it?

That is amazing. I was curious what that looked like. I had my ascending aorta replaced with Dacron as well. Please share any other pictures he took.
