4 weeks post-op. Incision is a bit bigger than the last aortic valve replacement done a few years back.

Recovery is a little slower than the last time. Grateful to the scientific and medical community for the advances in valve replacement surgery.

glad you are on the recovery side..did you choose a tissue valve again or go with a mechanical one since your other only lasted 7 years?

Thanks for all the well wishes. I went with another bioprosthetic valve. I developed A Fib after the second surgery and I have been on coumadin and amiodarone, but having a hard time reaching a therapeutic INR range. I am glad that my doctor thinks this is temporary because it... Read more.
