Timothy Stoner 8 days post surgery I’m doing fine. I’m walking further and further each day. My surgeon Dr Macheers I found out knows dr steltzer . I guess when you have done cardiac surgeries for over 31 years, you kind of know everyone involved. My surgeon has even done the Ross procedure before. He told me it is usually done in younger patients. He brought up Arnold Swartzenegger who got the Ross procedure but had to have a re-operation and that scared me. Look him up too see what I’m talking about. I’m glad I had the surgeon I did as I asked about rigid plate fixation and he said don’t do it because you will have problems if you have to open up again, easier with using wire unless you got nickel allergy I think it was. Also, I asked about minimally invasive and said got me it would increase risk so I told him I wanted the safest way and he said sternotomoy and really it doesn’t look that bad at all. As you know I did on-x and I’m fine with warfarin therapy really because I’m glad to be alive and don’t want to do a reoperation like you would with the other options
