Hi there! I live in kitsap, had my aortic valve replaced 10 yrs ago this coming June & I now have severe aortic stenosis again, I've been going to Swedish but I'm waiting for a call back from UW for a 2nd opinion. The surgeon at swedish refuses anything but a mechanical valve & that's not what I want. Where do you have surgery? You sound like you're doing great!

Hey Steve. You were looking good at the doctors clinic today. Glad to see that you are doing so well. Wish I would have had time to talk to you. Had an echo today. Hopefully, it turns out well so I can put it off. Going to Spain next month. I think I will survive.

Also good luck with your surgery. I got mine On-X valve end of July in Portland, Oregon. Good that you get a mini-sternotomy - should help with the recovery but of course, first you have to go through the surgery. Luckily this is now fully routine, and you are in good hands. You will feel much better very soon.

Stephen Phayre Bob - I'm doing really well - I'm in the process of writing up an update post but things have gone very well. We had a cold spell here in the NW for the past few weeks which made walking outside tough. My health has been great and the recovery seems to be going as expected or better. I'm returning to work on Monday on Week 6 since the procedure!

Bob Fessler Steve, I saw you at the Doctors Clinic yesterday when I was getting an echo but I wasn't sure that was you until the last minute or I would have came over sooner. You lloked good. I hope your test went okay. Mine lasted about 1-1/2 hours and I will see the results next week. I'm feeling good so far.

Bob Fessler I hope that is a fixable situation. Is it causing symptoms? I had a colonoscopy today to get that out of the way for awhile. I meet the cardiologist tomorrow to discuss my echo results. Hopefully he says "see you in 6 months". Hope your meeting on Friday goes well.

Best wishes to you, praying for a successful surgery and fast recovery. I had my AVR surgery 5 weeks ago and I honestly don't feel like I went thru open heart surgery. The medical teams have this down and this will be behind you in no time.

Hello Stephen, Myself pravin from new delhi , India, in august 2015 two of my heart valves replaced by surgery and after replacement everything is fine now. I am living my normal life at an age of 29 yeras. so don't worry about surgery , first week after surgery is little bit painful but after a week you feel your pain is washed out. once again best of luck for your surgery.
