Richard I am so glad to hear from you at this time of the year, and to know that you are doing well. I will always be grateful for our connection in Cleveland when I had my surgery as well. I have kept you in my thoughts and prayers over the years. It has been 5 years since Dr. Gillinov replaced my aortic valve and rebuilt my mitral valve. My reports continue to be good with my cardiologist. I wish you and Teresa a very Merry Christmas, and hope that one day if I come to Chicago we can connect again.

Can you give me a spiel on the difference b/w the two valve types? Why do you like the metal valve vs. the tissue valve? Also, don't you have to take coumadin the rest of your life? Secondly, I am curious about the sleeping pills you were taking, are they habit forming? Take care.
