Hi Phil, praying all goes well today. I know you were nervous about the sternotomy, but this will give your surgeon much better access to repair your valve and I am amazed at how well people’s scars are healing—you’ll be among them soon! Update us when you can! 🙏🏻

Hi Phil, my husband also had no symptoms and walked into surgery on Feb. 7th feeling just fine. Today is day 9 after surgery. He is home since day 7 and feeling pretty good. He is less weak and stronger that he thought he would be so soon after surgery probably because the surgery was done at the right time.
Andrea Babcock Phil, we are sending our very Best wishes your way!!!

Hi Phil, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm asymptomatic, known I've had a murmur and mitral valve with regurgitation for over 20 years I see my primary and cardiologist yearly . This year my MVR went from mild to severe . After my echocardiogram and TEE. my Drs agreed it was time for a repair/ replacement. It's difficult to process when you're feeling fine , but I'm scheduled with Dr Gillinov at Cleveland Clinic on 4-10-24. Stay positive and things will be fine. Wishing you the best
