Hi Paula , Welcome 😊 What about a Riser Recliner chair ? It would make a big difference to standing up . There will be similar type chairs available to buy or to hire x

Thanks Ruth Great idea. Rehab center only has a wheelchair for you to set in Maybe I can see if they'll let me rent a recliner. Not much room in the rooms there.

Paula, Best of luck getting your surgery date! It seems like you have had quite a journey so far! My Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve a Repair is scheduled for 10/12/26. I’m really nervous about the whole thing. Surgery and post recovery. I pray that all goes well for us both!

Praying-as well. I'm hoping for minimally invasive also. Prior was open heart because of some anomalies with my heart. Probably hasn't changed. You're not alone in being nervous.
