Thanks for signing my guestbook. Now if only we can get you to update your journal.
You're farther along in recovery than I am and you're younger, so you are probably getting close to the point where you can play naked twister without hurting yourself. Remember to stretch well before you start. Using any other body parts other than your hands and feet to cover a designated color is cheating!
Heal well!!

Nathan, thanks for the post. Keep working at it. My rehab has helped as well. Interesting in that if my heart rate gets over 125 the rehab people get excited. That may be difference in the different procedures and ages. I have noticed a large drop in the heart rate in the first 3 weeks of rehab on the treadmill and other exercises. Keep up the good work.

Hi Higgy,
Thank you for checking in and for your truthful post. From all the stories I have read here, it seems 3 months out is the earliest you can truly start to assess your recovery. When I think about the enormity of the surgery I get weak. I think about how every aspect of my body will be different and my life too, for a long time. It's our year of living dangerously. You are coming right but it's slow and you are in a hurry. Rehab sounds great. It got you back on your horse. Now that you are there you will move with speed, but still not be as fast as you were pre op. This is a huge deal but I believe people who say they sometimes forget they ever had OHS. I wish I could push a fast forward button for all of us. Keep trucking- I hope you get there soon!

Nathan, great posts and one other thing to avoid is sneezing. Even now it causes an ache in both sides of the chest and I found that by holding my nose usually prevents it. I was able to avoid for more than 5 weeks thank goodness. Keep,up the good work.
