Hi Richard, thats great that it has not grown and at 4.1cm. Reason for losartan is because of the studies on marfan aneurisms.
That is a question i am always asked due to being 6-5. Marfan is inherited but more apt to affect tall thin folks. I do not have it but still keeping blood pressure down is never a bad thing.
You can always get a genetic test. But given that your aneurysm is stable just continue to control your bp. Bicuspid is a disease of the aorta not just the valve itself.
No genetic tests for me. I already know i'm genetic superior. Ha.

Cant remember if anyone has mentioned Bicuspid valve repair to you. If your primary problem is regurgitation, and you don't have a lot of calcium buildup, repair might be a good option for you to look into. Not every surgeon does aortic repairs, but I would research that in your... Read more.
