Best of luck on your recovery. It seems like your surgery went well. I’m two and a half years out from my replacement and everything is back to normal. Working full time again and I can mow my lawn again without taking a break every two of three minutes. Follow your doctors’ advice and you’ll be fine. Take care.

Louanna Miller I needed naps for the first 2 weeks post discharge. Listen to your body and you will be fine.

Mava Reif Oh my! Thank you John, for this encouraging post tonight! I've been so busy with last minute rushing that I didn't post anything. I've been a little sad today, knowing tomorrow is pre-testing early & then the surgery comes early on Tues. I'm a little sad for my parents who are in their 90's and are trying to be brave. But I know God is with us, & your post just lifted my spirits as I had to bed. What a sweet gift you have me tonight! Thank you!

Each of us have a different journey through surgery and healing. Be gentle with yourself, listen to your body and allow yourself the necessary time to heal. This all came about so quickly that it's hard for me to realize I now have to deal with these heart issues & can't just return to normal. But since normal for me has become so inactive from exhaustion, I am hoping for a new better normal. Lol!
