Hi, Mark! I was trying to add to what Rose posted on your page earlier, but was having technical difficulties, so am trying a different route. I would ease into work if you can. Maybe start part time? If there are
no complications, you are supposed to be able to go back to full time at
the 8-12 week point, but I was definitely not there. I have my own
business and couldn't take much time off, which didn't help with my
recovery. And by "time off" I mostly mean mentally, as my job is not
necessarily physically demanding. I actually love my job, which makes
things hard... I'm almost 14 months out and not quite 100%, and
attribute that to not being able to fully devote myself to healing.
Work, family, health complications, any number of things could throw us
off course, so we are all on a very different timeline. Sleep, exercise,
and nutrition are important for recovery, so try to prioritize those as
best you can. Sounds like you are doing great, so keep at it!

Mark Truman Thank you all for the feedback! Helps to give me some realistic expectations for myself. I’m at just over 6 weeks post surgery and planning to go back this week part time on-site and part time remote. Hoping it goes ok but at least if I need to slow down I know it would not be unexpected!
