John Lant You have this Brenda and you and your heart will love your valve. I had my Aortic Valve replaced on 6/25/18 and I feel great. I can do things now that were difficult before my valve replacement. My chest scar is barely noticeable now and i can now look forward to a active lifestyle for many years to come. Best wishes on your surgery and a very speedy recovery.

I know for me the weeks then days beforehand were rather a blur, and I felt a mix of wanting the time to drag but also wanted to be done & over with the surgery! I hope you feel supported in caring and knowing that you’re not alone. Best of luck to you!

Lisa Leake Thanks Pam. These days of waiting are very difficult, I believe people are tired of hearing me talk about the surgery... this is a great way of discussing everything about our journey. I’m actually very ready for this to happen. When lying in bed at night, I feel my heart ❤️ beating and working harder than ever before. Looking forward to meeting a stronger me.

During my waiting I played as much tennis as I could to keep myself in the best aerobic shape as I could.
