Kathleen McClung Tammy yes my appt is Jan 30th. I am seeing an electrophysiologist. He is the dept head and specializing in the CRT Pacemaker too. So I feel good about it. My Dr had already put in a call to him about me that day too.

I ended up with a pacemaker after my 2nd aortic valve replacement. It's taking a little time to get use to it being under my skin, but it's working so that is what's important. I go for my first device check and a few weeks and I think there is a way to do checks from home . I guess I'll find out soon.

Kathleen McClung Melinda sorry I missed this somehow. I am now 3 weeks post op and feel pretty good. Still have some back and chest pain but doing well. I can really tell a difference lately in healing. Like going upstairs is much easier. I can go slow and in 1 shot now. I was stopping several times. My scar looks great and healing wonderful. One of my biggest issues are the pain meds "stopping me up" lol

Kathleen- Five immediate things come to mind this morning as I see you are ready tomorrow for the "big day"! Big day in that all of the worry will soon be a thing of the past and you will have moved forward into what this wonderful life has to offer with your beautiful children there to keep you on your toes! I realize that you are scared as all of us needing our hearts mended have been before you. But please take the love and prayers from those that love you and those of us here who are your heart brothers and sisters to "heart" and believe us when we tell you we will be with you on this special day and here to cheer you on during your recovery. It is going to be worth it and a repaired heart is going to give you the strength to face whatever lies ahead for you and your Family. You are going to be surprised at the strength and determination you possess and the love and faith you have within will also fill your heart and get you through this surgery. Please believe this, believe in yourself and your surgical Team who will do everything within their power to do their jobs well and meet your every need at every turn of the days ahead. Tammy Pilcher Hi Kathleen, I'm also from Florida. I live in Freeport, between Destin and Panama City. I have aortic stenosis and have to have surgery before end of year. I have an appointment with Dr. Kevin Accola in Orlando on Monday, Oct. 27. Hopefully he will be able to schedule me soon. You will find so much support on this site and if you haven't already read it, get Adam's book. It's so much good information. Welcome and I'll be following your progress.
