Judy Shaw Awe thank you for thinking of me, Sommer. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks post-op. I am thankful I haven't had any issues except getting comfortable enough to sleep, pain in and around my incision and chest muscle pain. Couldn't wear a bra for 3 weeks ugh. Seems like for me the 3 week mark was the turning point for me. Pain is lessened and tolerable now. I've been helping with light meal prep, start cardiac rehab next week and today I started driving(yay).
Hope you are doing well Sommer. ❤

Judy Shaw My last memory is seeing a faceless woman (just a shadow figure) saying she was going to give me an alcohol bath. She started wiping my left arm then I was asleep. Next thing I knew I could hear my husband saying "you want to wake up a bit, you have visitors". Then I saw the shape of my 25 year old son for a few seconds and then I was asleep again.

Praying that a sense of peace will embrace you today, tomorrow and the days that follow, Judy. Everything is in place. Nothing more is to be done for now. Trust the doctors, nurses and your husband and all will be well. Keep your thoughts on a better future as the result of your surgery and how much better you will be to care for your husband later. Our prayers for a successful procedure and an uncomplicated recovery. Our prayers for your family, as well. Go with confidence!

Judy-tomorrow will be an interesting day for you. Of course everyone is going to say don’t worry....but it’s hard not too. All I can say is your almost home on the road to recovery. The morning of I was just ready to move forward I was tired of waiting, stressing, worrying, fighting anxiety etc etc and on and on. Bottom line is your day to jump this huge hurdle is going to fly by faster than you realize and then it’s over. I can’t say looking back I wouldn’t have worried-we are human and emotional beings but your going to be ok! Praying for you...

Anna Jones Try not to anticipate. The anesthesiologist will see you are nervous and will take care of you.
Good job getting your eyes checked. I will see my doctor to get another angiogram on my eyes in a month, to see how my Roth’s Spot is healing.

Judy Shaw I have chronic uevitis that is finally under control after 5 years of trying different medications. But because of it and long term steroid use I ended up with steroid induced glaucoma. I've also had cataract surgery with stent placement in both eyes. Now Im on 3 eye pressure drops. I pray I don't have any vision issues after surgery because I've dealt with it for so long and finally see 20/20. Best of luck on your upcoming eye exam.

Coe Ramsey I’m doing well. Came home on Monday and getting adjusted to recovery at home. Stronger and stronger each day. I ended up having to have a pacemaker too. Not something I was really prepared for at 45 yo (nor was I really prepared for OHS at 45, but .....). But it will be fine. Tommy is great. Looking forward to my follow up with him in under 2 weeks.

Hi Judy. Apparently you deleted your post this morning while I was responding. I tend to get wordy sometimes, so this is an abbreviated version: I encourage you to embrace those who support you and forgive those who disappoint you. The "disappointers" often don't know how to express their feelings, so they hide. Use that energy to find peace and, ultimately, for the physical healing you will need. If you are a person of faith, use that power, as well. Our prayers for you and your family. Know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many others here, as well. Peace.

Judy Shaw Thank you so much Mark for your kindness and encouragement. After I wrote it I thought about it pretty much the same way your words describe. I can't use my energy on those that disappoint me. You get kind words of encouragement from a stranger more often than familiar people.

Mark Wilbur The benefit of support groups is that by sharing we learn that others are experiencing the same things we are. I began reading comments here a year ago. Since then, I've noticed a number of people mention the same disappointment in family and friends as you did. Everyone's journey is individual and different. But, still, in many ways... very similar. We're in this together!
Judy Shaw Yes! I'm beginning to find this out. We are all connected by the heart. ❤

Hi, Judy
I've been gone for a while, and just was you"hello" on My journal page. It look like you've moved ahead a lot faster than I am -- just have my initial consult tomorrow. I pray everything goes well with you on this path we're walking together. - Angie
Judy Shaw Yes Angie. Moving faster than I'd like. Let me know how your consult goes. Best of luck.
Hope you are doing well Sommer. ❤
