John what valve tissue or mechanical.I had a tissue valve put in 2010 at 67 and now at at 76 working out 6 days a week. Good luck.

Hi Peter... I had my aortic valve replaced with a pig valve and my aortic artery was replaced from the valve up to about mid-arch. I was told that the pig valve could last about 15 years or so, but I would be a good candidate for the remote valve... Read more.

Hi John. I'm facing the same surgery. Did you have a full sternotomy? Or minimaly invasive? Hope everyday gets better for you.

Hi Ron... I did have a full sternotomy and I have to admit the surgery and first week of recovery went very well for me. I was very surprised at how much I could do with little or no pain. I guess having to sneeze a few times was the... Read more.
