Jared, I would not place a lot of emphasis on your watch ECG as it only monitors a single point of reference. If you recall, your docs typically place leads at multiple points of references. At times I would stare at my results, I would think that I was having a heart attack...not. Just consider it an indicator only.

Jared Takeshita I definitely agree, Uncle. I usually just use my ECG to confirm what I'm already feeling. The ECG is enough to note the PAC. Definitely not using it as a diagnosis. It's been helpful to show the nurses at cardiac rehab what I'm seeing so that can watch out for it on the monitors when I'm exercising.
Hey Jared, it's been a few days. how is the recovery going? How are you?

Jared Takeshita It’s been going okay, Steve. Thanks for checking in. I’m still having the PAC palpitations that are really annoying. Trying to stay calm and emotionally healthy. I’ve been resting as much as I can to see if that helps. I just posted a new journal entry that was four days in the making.
Steven Methot Well, if it's any consolation, you're someplace warm. As I look out my window it. is. snowing.

Thinking of you today. Hope you're doing better. I was out in the garden on what is for us an unseasonably warm day doing puttering around stuff and stuff that I "SHOULD" get to when I started feeling poorly. Nothing like that to smack you upside the head and make you assess the "SHOULDS" and whether they are important, realistic, achievable, etc.
Be good to yourself Jared.

Again Jared you seem to write very good explicit summary of your thoughts and dealing with this heart surgery. Totally relate to it. I think as time goes by we will have more confidence that our hearts have healed and are functioning normally. This is all a very new experience. I am hoping cardiac rehab will help me feel more assured. I too have experienced this anxiety and do not like being obsessed with my condition. I do not not think anyone I know thinks it is too abnormal to think about these things. At least for me these set backs make you wonder if you will ever feel as good as you did before surgery. I had very few symptoms prior to my surgery and 2 weeks out have not yet felt as good as I did before surgery.
Uncle Wayne, Auntie Emi & Cousin Heather posted a note for Jared that says:

Hi Jerad,
I had Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Repair three weeks ago and it has gone amazingly well. The only thing I now regret is not doing it sooner :)
I think you are already doing a lot of the right things. Eating well and losing weight and getting in good shape will help you recover faster and (I believe) get through the operation better. I lost twenty pounds (192 - 172 lbs) and improved my cardio fitness prior to surgery and I think it made a big difference.
You can't control the surgery but you can control your mental attitude and your fitness. So I would suggest focusing on the things you can control and not worrying about the things you can't control (I know that is tough).
Best wishes.
