I had open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve on March 3, 2022 due to severe aortic stenosis. My valve was so severe there was no way to repair it. It had to be replaced. Also I had to have the procedure open heart that could not due it through the less invasive procedure. Recovery takes time so be patient with yourself. I also went through 6 wks of cardio rehab. One year post op, I am doing well and thankful. Sending hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Eleanor Erdogan Hi David Tavarez I never had my surgery 70 days ago and this is my first time seeing your note address to me I'm so sorry but I was very new with this app and I didn't know really had to work it but now my surgery is in 5 days May 1st and I'll take your good luck from 70 days ago I'm not silly I'll take anybody's good luck I don't think there's an expiration date on that lol

Eleanor Erdogan Hi everyone thank you so much for the well wishes but we have to extend your well wishes till March 6th and even then there might be a change of dates since my insurance company has denied the surgery however, they believe that this was just a little mishap and I will be approval for surgery so but thank you and love you guys so much.

Eleanor Erdogan Thank you so much and I am going to carry all of your good wishes until my surgery date May 1st yikes I cannot believe it keeps getting canceled and pushed back this time it's because I had a problem with one of my teeth in my mouth and they couldn't put the valve in because of the infection in my tooth. So now it's definitely May 1st I can't handle another setback but I love you all for commenting thank you so much

Eleanor Erdogan Hey guys hopefully this is the last time I'm going to have to tell you guys that my surgery got pushed back yet again I'm going Monday as far as it stands it's a definite I had some extensive dental work done root canals and extractions for whatever reason I did not know that I had abscesses I had no pain or anything but they found out that I had these infections and had to get it taken care of so now praise God my fingers crossed and getting my surgery on Monday May 1st.! Eleanor Erdogan Donna, I already had to have one tooth extracted because it was a very large abscess and I wanted to get this over with as soon as possible so now I'm wearing a partial denture it's called a flip it looks like a retainer with teeth on it. This is that's scaring me that there's a chance of the infection not being taken care of I pray to God that's not the case because I can't handle another setback I'll let you guys all know Friday

Eleanor Erdogan Donna, I would like to ask an additional question what was the surrounding circumstances around your root canal ? Was it was it a large tooth was it a molar was it deep what was these surrounding circumstances that they didn't get it three times that's unbelievable.

This is a lovely community , you are going to be okay . You need the surgery and you have a date planned for when it will happen .
It is good news that you have something already arranged to make sure that you will keep well and be able to live your life . You are allowed to be frightened and worried , that is normal . This community is a good place for people to listen to your worries and share our own experiences of open heart surgery .

Patricia Dillon I'm new to this group..but itis nice to have support from those who actually have had surgeries. It gets scary at my age (75) but I'm a survivor and looking forward to some more years to enjoy my family and grandchildren.
I need an aortic valve replacement as mine is not working much anymore. I'm hopeful my surgeon can fix me up so I can have a better quality of life!
