Dr. Argenziano is a resident surgeon there who performed the first ever robotic valve repair in the U.S. In any case, wishing you well with your upcomming procedure. The recovery time is half that of the traditional sternotomy (I had both done) and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me

Violet Helfen It's been 3 months exactly and I feel incredible. Had some small setbacks (nose bleed, bloating) but these I think are very minor. Regardless, feeling incredible. Even after 2-3 post surgery, visitors would be shocked at how normal I looked and acted; they didn't know I struggled to go up the stairs or walk around the block but walking around the house and chatting for hours was a piece of cake! I am happy to say that I'm walking at least 30-minutes on the treadmill daily at 2.5 mph and can climb a few flights of stairs if needed to. Goal is to run a 5K in 2023 so I can formally kick this stenosis thing in the fanny!

Danny Mahoney I’m glad to hear you’re doing well. I knew you would. Just in the last 2 weeks feeling much better and getting my “wind” back. We bought a house in Georgia so I plan to get into a rehab program and start walking around outside during the winter. Maybe I’ll never go back to New York! Stay well and continued success Violet!
