Hi Celia, thank you so much for posting your update. I am pretty new to this site, and preparing for inevitable surgery date myself. Every time I read about someone successful recovery and a glimpse into what it is like during that process, I feel a little more confident that I, too-- will be able to physically and emotionally to handle this next life event. I am currently waiting on a surgery date, likely to be pretty soon. Wishing you continued good health during your recovery... and excited that your again dreaming of travel and making plans for a long and bright future.

Hi Celia, I’m two year post mitral valve repair and can relate to a lot of what you’ve said. I had wonderful support through this site.
