Hi Becky! I'm in Bedford Tx and have an appointment with Dr. Will Ryan at Heart Hospital Baylor Plano in May. I have TAA and BAV. Did they have to do a heart cath on you prior to surgery? I am concerned about getting enough sedation to withstand the cath... Read more.

Becky - Don't worry about the cath procedure. I had a radial cardiac catheterization and declined the sedation and, although there was a little burning sensation in my arm when the dye was injected, it was very tolerable. Thanks am feeling better with some good days and not so good days.they didn't do heart Cath on me. All they did for me echo and ct scan before surgery
