I'm not sure this applies but I was diagnosed with osteoporosis before my OHS. I've been on Prolia shots twice a year ever since. Exercise for the bones helps too. I have a very good rheumatologist.

I had a mechanical valve replacement in April 14, 2014. I have been on warfarin since then with diet restrictions on foods high on Vitamin K.
