"Dr Brown has performed 3 heart surgeries on my daughter since she had been born. She is now 24! He repaired her heart work her own tissue when she was born and replace the pulmonary valve 10 years later with a bovine artery. This year he replaced the valve with a porcine and with the fantastic people at Riley's children hospital and Dr Brown she was released in 4 days after open heart surgery. Dr Hermann has been mentored by Dr Brown and will be a perfect solution when he retires. "

"Dr. Brown came with stellar recommendations from several physician experts I am privileged to know. He thoroughly lived up to these. He had an excellent bedside manner. He was very professional and clear, but had a good sense of humor. He was open to discussing options and scientific literature and included in these discussions, through email, the two cardiologists I had seen. As a result I think I got the best procedure available for me at the time (porcine freestyle aortic root heart valve), and his surgery was excellent. I had a relatively quick recovery. He is known for his pioneering work on valve replacement (Ross Procedure) for children. I asked a physician friend about his expertise with adults, and he replied that Dr. Brown regularly did heart surgeon adults, and added: If he can operate on a heart the size of a walnut, then one the size of yours is a piece of cake. I was pleased with Dr. Brown in every way and feel very luck that he was my surgeon."

"Being a doctor myself, I am keenly aware of how it feels to have the tables turned and to become the patient. Dr. Brown is the rare combination of empathetic consultant and technically gifted surgeon. He is a fantastic professional and fantastic human being."

"I started my ordeal with a leaking bicuspid aortic valve. I wanted the Ross and it is not done in my hometown, so I was referred to Dr. Brown. I met with Dr. Brown and he was very confident that Ross was for me due to my age an physical condition. When we first met he came across as very confident, if not arrogant, which I consider a good thing for surgeons and airline pilots. I trust them with my life, they better be confident in what they do. Dr. Brown also received high marks from Dr. Paul Stelzer. Just to ease my mind, I sent my records to Dr. Gosta Pettersson. I visited Dr. Pettersson and he was confident that the valve could be replaced. I considered him for the surgery. When I asked Dr. Brown about repair, he stated that this was always the first choice. That is when I decided on Dr. Brown. It was just a gut instinct at that point. I am glad I made the choice. Dr. Brown's bedside manor was good, though he was quite busy during my stay and I only saw him twice after the surgery. Bottom line is that I was very satisfied with Dr. Brown."
