About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with a bi-cuspid aortic valve and an ascending aortic aneurysm at age 38. At age 72 I needed to have the valve replaced because it had become severely calcified. Because of my age and as well as other health issues it was decided that a TAVR would be the best choice for me at this time. Note: my aneurysm has been acceptably stable.
