About Me (In My Own Words)
I am having a heart cath soon, and have already scheduled surgery.
I am going 4 hours from home for the surgery, because my surgeon will perform a mini-thoracotomy, rather than crack my sternum open.
I need to choose a valve, and I am torn. I would rather not need to replace the new valve, but I don't know if I can live with the clicking of a mechanical valve, and I don't want to have to take blood thinners forever.
