Dear Asha,
I imagine how you are feeling. I am 57 ( but look 40, right?) and thought I was too young to have a heart surgery. So I understand your concern. The first thing to do is \" Stay Calm\". Worrying creates the wrong frequency in your energy field. I suggest you do the yoga breathing exercises - the one you close one nastril, inhale, then release the air through the other nastril while blocking the first one. Keep doing this 7 times short breaths, 7 times long breaths. It really shifts your energy. Then look at comedies as much as possible. Laugh. Laugh. Laugh. Listen to HayHouseradio.com, lots of great authors talking about themes that lift up your spirit and transport you to a good place. Visualize yourself doing all you want - including playing with your future kids! All will be well. All is well right now! Trust! Do not think of the surgery keep doing things you love. All the best!

Hi Asha,
I can guarantee you that you are experiencing the worst part of the whole ordeal right now.....the waiting! I had surgery to repair my mitral and tricuspid valves with Dr. Gillinov at CCF almost two years ago, and e waiting is truly the worst part. You will love Dr. Gillinov (if you haven\'t met him already)...... He is an awesome surgeon and a genuinely nice human being. I can remember how anxious and overwhelming it was to wait, but try to stay strong and positive. You will do great!
Godspeed and good luck!

You will do great. The waiting before surgery was harder than the surgery and recovery. I am completely satisfied with Cleveland Clinic, my surgeon, my care and follow-ups after surgery. For me, my open heart surgery was tough but not as bad a I imagined. If there is anything you and your husband want to know about our experience at Cleveland Clinic please ask.
