Husband is in recovery as I type....aortic valve replacement, bypass and aneurysm repair....I feel like I can breath again!!!!!

Rebecca Vaughan Hi Wendy. I am also here because my husband is the one who has had heart valve issues. He had mitral valve repair 10 years ago and now he has mild to moderate aortic valve regurgitation and enlargement of aorta. They are monitoring for now and I think one day he will have to have the same surgery as your husband. I am so glad to hear you can breathe again. I can really relate to you. I am very happy for you and your husband. Congratulations.

Really anxious. Husband has this surgery tomorrow AM and this was totally unexpected. We DID know he had a murmur that would require attention "some time in the future" but coding at the doctor's office was not something even in the realm of expectations. I am writing, mostly to vent my anxiety...now, off to see the husband!!
