Well, friends, this is the hardest part I think. I have to ask for help.
I am looking for people to help me with my recovery once I'm released from the hospital. Basically, the hospital won't release me to go home if I'm left all alone. I need people to stay with me in my apartment in Petaluma during the first week of my recovery. But rather than ask for a 24 hour commitment, people could do shifts: one person sleeps overnight, another person hangs out during the day, etc. If I can find enough people to cover each night and most of the day for at least 3 days, I'll be golden. My brother has agreed to come down and stay with me, but his time is limited and he can only do it for a few days, not a whole week.
The time frame for these shifts is, obviously, a bit fluid right now. My surgery is Tuesday, Oct 15th. I will be in the hospital for at least 5 days. So most likely, the shifts would start no sooner than Sunday, Oct 20th (but perhaps Monday or Tuesday or...?). Barring any serious complications, I would need help the week of October 20th - Oct 27th.
So if you have a kind heart :-), are in town from Oct 20th - Oct 27th, and are willing and able to spend time with me for an 8-ish hour shift on one or more days (some shifts will be sleep-overs), I will shower you with appreciate and gifts. All you knitting friends, yes, I will open my stash to you! For the non-knitters, we can talk about some sort of compensation for your trouble.
You can leave a message here if you have questions or want to volunteer, or you can email me at warrenagee@gmail.com or text me at 415.517.5521.
