Anyone gone through a pinched nerve in the groin area ? I has been 5 weeks of recovery with no major issues until this one. Hard to walk with pain. Not sure if pinched nerve or something else ie hip flexor. On some anti-inflammatories now. Was quite active before the surgery but doing the gradual walking now. Comments would be most welcomed. Cathleen Weed First, report everything to your doctor just to be on the safe side. I personally get Chiropractic care and found that it helped me a lot after my heart surgeries for various aches and pains having to do with the body getting used to the trauma and the healing. Our body mechanics change quite a bit after heart surgery without us even realizing it because we guard certain areas like the sternum, we tend to move more slowly for awhile or in a different manner than what we may have done before surgery, and we sleep differently during the night. All of these things can lead to other issues like pinched nerves etc.

Tom Henderson I have been to the doctor but no real answer yet on what it could be. Yes, I agree with you on the changes that have taken place after the valve replacement. This was totally unexpected and nothing that I have read about.

Cathleen Weed I hope it resolves quickly 💛. Having your mobility hampered is no joke.

Tom Henderson Thank you for the encouragement.

It has been 5 weeks since the surgery and all has been going good on the recovery until this week, where my left leg groin area seized up and now very hard to walk. It is liked a severe pinched nerve. Got some anti-inflammatory meds but not working to good. Any thoughts on this injury ? Anyone gone through something similar?
