Today I met my new surgeon and am feeling very positive. My porcine valve will be replaced by an Edwards bovine aortic valve on Oct. 5 It will be great to get my energy back!

Susan, this will be a second surgery for AVR in 5 years? Porcine valve didn't get you where you needed to be?

Or did this valve just wear out too quickly? Sorry you have to go through this so soon!

.......nuclear CT scan early tomorrow. Third will show if there is any scar tissue from my 1st AVR in 2013. Fingers crossed..
