Hello. I just found this group and am looking forward to learning more about you all. I am 2.5 years post-op, but still working through a lot of mental health issues related to my surgery. Nice to meet you all!

Hi Stephen, I'm not quite post op, soon though. Hope you find what you need and can find what you need to work past the mental bumps in your life with surgery. I've heard that's a real thing with those that have had OHS!

Stephen, OHS is life changing in so many ways and having surgery on an emergency basis is even more emotional. God bless you on this journey. Glad you found us.

Hi Stephen, I haven't yet had surgery but I imagine the total of what you went through was very difficult on you and your family. It could be a form of ptsd you are experiencing. If it were me I would look into medication and a bit of talk therapy.... Read more.

I was an emergency surgery as well. 4 years now..I think anyone would have mental health issues after something like this. My biggest thing is why me? Not why did it happen, but why did I survive and have an excellent recover. My yearly check up with the surgeon...he says..oh... Read more.
