I had an ascending aortic dissection last August ending up in emergency surgery to install a mechanical aorta. Then, I had an infection that put me back in the hospital with two more surgeries. I have been home and doing really, really well. Then, yesterday I had what I think was my first aFib episode. Heart rate shot to 200, blood pressure went up... headed back to my cardiologist tomorrow morning. I had double vision — yes, I ended up back in an ER and released 5 hours later. Did any of you find this happening three months after surgery? This is new. I am not sure when to just get calm and when to head to an ER. Hopefully I am putting this in the right place. I am brand new to this news feed.
