Im 66 and was diagnosed with Moderate Aortic Insifficiency. The news hit me hard because when I asked the Cardiologist what was next he said open heart surgery. He could have shared that at the moderate stage its a wait and monitor protocol. All of which I have since learned on this wonderful and supportive site created by Adam Pick, and those like me who share thier stories. I now have hope and if the time comes, will be well prepared and share my experience to benefit others.
